  2. OK, I think it's time for an Intervention

Here's my 3 trade rule (I didn't make it up, got it from a guy at a bar I was talk'in trade'in with).

I'm sure you've heard this before, but it bears repeating. If you have three losing trades in a row, take a break and reassess your system to see if you're doing anything wrong. Remember, markets change and systems have to change with them.

    Learn from your mistakes.

Nothing inspires confidence like hearing that a person is relying on trading "education" from a BARTENDER.

    YEAH

This is by far, the best post ever at ET. You couldn't make this crap up.....I am loving it to death...

Could I get that bartender's name? I am involved in a lot of stat arb and I really need some advice.

    Thanks

    Exactly.

You really can not defend a guy who lost more than one hundred million dollars blowing up. It is a throughly disgraceful feat. Is he even back to break even for his career? How many times did he blow up?

I respect his squash I disrespect his trading.

  8. Oh geez, hope you took that loss on your own volition and design and not due to some incessant prodding you took on this board. :(

On another note, it seems to be "Rolling-over" time.

  9. WTF?

I didn't say I got it from a bartender, I said I got it from a guy I was hanging out at a bar with, we strike up a conversation and it turns out he's in the business (in NYC far stranger things have happened no doubt ...).

    He works here at ManMarketMonitor

You're just too cynical Stevie, too cynical.
