  1. how about the last 7 years, why does this not count?

must be nice to be able to pontificate nonsense anonymously.

  2. Yes Atticus, your characterization is correct. As I mentioned in my comment, they guy got complacent. In my opinion, the fact that he bet wrong is not the big problem. It is the inept fashion in which he managed risk, and his cavalier attitude toward the people whose money he lost.

  3. In a trending market, even you might have done as well.

Try to think a bit before you post.

    Steve

P.S. On second thought I take that back. I have seen your last few calls.

In a trending market, even a dart throwing chimp could do as well.

There, that puts it in proper context.

  7. Got a Buy Signal on the YM Surf, as price action plays around at Friday's highs, it doesn't look like it's ready to turn back down just yet.

Of course, I could be stopped out (for a paltry 15pts YM), but this Bull ain't even bleed'in yet.

  8. Vienna

    Vienna

    Re: Niederhoffer

According to a Bloomberg article, VN has some months with a 30-35% drawdown. On the other hand, his yearly return is about that percentage when things are going well.

That relationship seems off, for sure.... seems he is trading with too high risk, leaving himself exposed for another big event.

  10. OK, your initial stop was @ 13333, later you changed it to 13337, you still wanna keep moving it up?

(no matter what, you're still gonna be toast at the EOD)
