  1. all trades are presented, win or lose.

i appreciate your name knowing, shall we say, several "employees" of the fund reflected in you name. are you associated with them? may i suggest that you read the report in total prior to commenting.

as the readers know, yes, in 2006 we did have some issues with style drift and unsuccessful experimentation with new methods.

yes, at times, if the information/data remains the same we will average into a trade, taking on more than normal risk on a per trade basis, never on a portfolio basis. we don't take, nor accept as valid the commonly accepted risk-reward ratios on such trades-- but rather face larger drawdowns while managing the risk on a portfolio wide basis instead of on the micro level of an individual trade. i realize this would, at times, be difficult for the undercapitalized or hobbyist type trader.

  3. do i detect a little schradenfeude in these comments.

how's business during the subprime debacle, are they still paying the agreed amounts?

  4. I work on the equity buy-side in NYC. The firm has seen large inflows in recent years and we've been lucky, AGIX notwithstanding.

I've found that experimentation is best left to dilettantes or those not burdened by OPM. Not that I am casting aspersions, but our clients would summarily flee if there were a thought given to "experimentation"

I trust this is an open forum and that reading nearly 700 pages is not a prerequisite to posting. If so, I will wish you the best of luck and take my leave.

  6. Lol, schradenfreude. No, not at all. I get no pleasure in other peoples pain. When people post trades or recommendations and use REAL #'s, entries AND exits I give them props. Guys like Joab. I give the credit for having the balls to put the real info out.

But you go on and on in other threads claiming that "TA myth is exposed" and blah blah. Which btw, how do find the time to make all of these posts? You average 5 posts a day for all these years? And thats not counting the numerous aliases you've had.

But I think the reason you are always trying to expose people and/or TA as frauds is because maybe you are a fraud. Using projection as a defense mechanism.

Trying to long NFI at $11.50 and then averaging down is a trade an noob makes. Same with shorting MFW.

You said I ''cherrypicked" your bad trades. I asked you to show 3 good trades (entries and exits)....you didn't. Maybe you can't.

I have never had any ill will towards anyone on this site. And I don't have any towards you. In fact, I think you're probably a pretty decent guy. We spoke on the phone a few years ago and you seemed like a nice guy.

I think that I'm starting to see why other ET members (RiskArb, ZZz , etc) busted your balls so much. No credability. Things you post just don't add up. You're not believable.

But hey, no hard feelings. I won't post on your thread anymore. You and I disagree on things. That's what makes markets.

    Trade well.

  8. Surf's cool, man, chill.

I know he pisses everyone off with his stupid, counter-trend trades (especially when they end up making a windfall), and this is the only thread with pretend internet babes on it, so let's see.

    He's got the money.

    He's got the women.

Shrug, a brotha definitely can't argue with those "stats" :D .

    Good trading,

  9. Funny, JJ! Thanks for the post. I just want to put your mind at ease--atleast one of the "surfer babes" is 100% real--- if your lucky enough to get an invite, you may just get to meet her at the next marketannasurferland fest this summer in NYC.

    regards,
