You track the Dow via MS's journal? You don't think his system has value, but that yours does. Wouldn't it make sense for you to just check your own results Prof LOGIC?

  2. He didn'y say he tracks the Dow via Surf's journal. He said a friend asked him to keep and eye on it to let him know when game of musical chairs is about to stop. He can determine that by his own analysis.

He just stops in to see how Surf is doing with his latest attempt to fade any given market's current trend ...

... it really just so much more entertaining than the journal of someone who actually trades with the trend in their given derivatives. I mean all they're going to have is successful trade after successful trade.

    How boring.

Besides, if you haven't noticed yet, Surf is one of the best all-time fade's here at ET ... anytime he initially Shorts or Longs a market, it's a 60%-80% guarantee that the market is going to continue in opposite direction for the short-term.

    Jimmy Jam

P.S. A lot of the other more experienced traders used to stop-in ... and tell'em to stop, but hey I guess they good bored doing it and quit the scene. Not that I think he should stop, mind you, he has a contrarian personality so this type of trading feels right to him, I also have a contrarian personality, so I like the concept of being able to fade the trends and find the Tops & Bottoms as well ... I just don't think it should be done until I have sufficient confirmation.

    P.P.S. Good trading, everyone.

  5. i'll addresss the recent posts later....

in the mean time, having a great time at the expo. here are my thoughts so far:

i am here now using the amazing sprint EVDO network from the bar. its pretty much the same old same old-- met and chatted with some cool trading media industry people, saw maverick several times and several hot females--well, one ultra hot one-- HA! woodie is here with the same old follower looking people milling about him. what i found interesting is the number of FX dealers who have absolutely no differentiation from the next one. One of these guys had a huge booth full of bunnies and expensive looking swag--- however there is no difference between them and the others. what their business model is, I have not a clue. How can these guys compete, they are all the same. its a commodity in an of itself--- ( can i trade FX dealers??)they should all merge to survive. there must be a tremendous amount of money in that business, but i dont think its coming from US based traders.

    best,

    surfer

ps. i have been asked this 10 time---- no bunnypink is not here HA

niether is FXCM who has had a huge presence over the last several years.

    correlation or spurious?? HA HA

Hate to intrude on Mktsurf's thread here as this is directed to Proflogic ... Proflogic could you post your last 4 entries (and exits) on the emini?
how about starting your own discussion journal like Mktsurf, the Hershey/Spydertrader guys or Bright's open orders?
