  4. Just to clarify what I actually said because in this thread misquoting is a regular occurrence:

Here's a call for you, the YM will oscillate back up to challenge 12385 before it takes out 12117. . . . Maybe I'll shoot the pooch on this one aye?

    _________________________________________________

We violated 12280 on the 26th and with each subsequent Resistance failure we headed further down. The current Trend Support bottom is 12094. The current Trading Resistance top is 12166. When price creates an oscillation back to challenge 12094 it will either violate it or not. If it creates an oscillation there that fails to violate 12094, price will oscillate back up to test 12166, 12168 & 12209. If those oscillation points are violated then 12339, 12361 & 12384 are in line to be challenged after that.

I do like to be quoted correctly.

In regards to Magna's statement, I guess smurf's got prostate problems because he just can't seem to stop pissing. Why can you leave it rest smurf. No need coming into other threads and starting problems either. People are getting really tired of it.

Volente . . . didn't you say you were going to leave . . . what was it you stated . . . FOREVER! Your misquoting people only stirs up trouble. Of course that might be your purpose in it.

Yopu were quoted correctly, you said 12385 before breaching 12117.

Here is your exact quote that you posted when YM was way above 12117, right around 12300. We never challenged 385 and fell the next trading day,

Maybe I read it wrong, tell me what it says again .

You said 117, I had 110, we were both WRONG but both entries made money today.

  6. Kindly allow me to respond.

    First, to volente:

As I had previously noted, I do not offer a journal. I suppose that if I did do so, that I would then do it properly, and not in a half-assed manner. Please refer to my comments to marketsurfer that follow, for clarification. As for the notion of selling something, I agree that he is not selling anything specific at this time. However I think there is little doubt that marketsurfer is trying to create a brand image around himself, which may or may not have some tangible value for him in the future. And there is nothing wrong with that. He is entirely entitled to do so. However, I believe I am entitled to make observations regarding the validity and completeness of his offerings. After all, he is the one who opened the door. I am merely walking through it. This is, after all, an open forum, is it not?

    To marketsurfer:

You offer a journal. As I understand it, and please correct me if I am wrong, a journal is supposed to be all about truth and honesty. It is about completeness. It is about specifics. Understandably, if your journal is a public one, you would be disinclined to share your specific and proprietary trading strategies. However, for a journal to have any value to anyone, yourself included, I would think that it should readily enable you to know where you stand in your trading in relation to your starting point. In this way you keep yourself honest with...yourself. And others. A journal is about checks and balances. Therefore if, as you wrote, you do not feel a need to share any specifics such as these in your journals, then what possible value, other than dubious entertainment, do they offer? For the thinking reader, it does not enhance your brand image. Of what use is an incomplete and half-baked journal, and to whom?

I think that traders are natural skeptics. If they were not, then their trading careers would be rather short lived. Therefore, any legitimate trader wishing to attach any legitimacy to your journal will invariably ask you the questions that you seem reluctant to answer. What raises additional questions is an observation by riskarb in a post to another thread a few months ago:

Calls are meaningless. You have no insight into the mechanics of the signal nor the management of the stated-trade. FWIW, he (marketsurfer) stated on chat that he had just shorted "size" in GOOG. Unfortunately the stock had been halted and no trades took place at his reported price. Later he stated he received a fill from E***** Institutional that his "fund" shorted 200 shares. Again, at a price never reaching the tape on any ECN. 200...

C'mon, doesn't this thread title tell it all?

So let's drop the pretense... the guy is borderline retarded, pathologically FOS and an attention whore. This is the last post in which I will ever mention the guy or his handle. That should please everyone involved.

    Edit:

Would love to see the WSJ column surfer. Maybe E*Trade filled you outside the Earthly markets out of soft-dollar compensation for your editorials. Oh Lord, it never ends with this cat.

Riskarb, who no longer contributes to ET, was an intelligent and outspoken member whose trading acumen was never in question. I recalled the above rather disparaging and insightful post written a while back in another thread. I did a search and only found ProfLogic's reference to it in one of his posts. Riskarb's actual post seems to have been deleted. I remember reading it at the time he had posted it, so I know it existed. Interesting how, despite all the insults you seem to withstand, riskarb's poignant post somehow did not manage to survive. What, specifically, was it about that post that caused you to complain and have it deleted?

  7. The point was, you said that I stated it was a bounce point and I did not. To me oscillations are targets, not places where price MUST oscillate. at the time, 12117 was simply a Trend oscillation Support level (target) on the specific intraday chart I watch for on the YM.

My apology proflogic, I made the assumption that a target price is the same as a reversal point in your trading. Usually when you have a target price you either enter or exit or reverse at that point, or do you have a different trading methodology ?

Thunder you seem to be a man of knowledge, what part of this do you not comprehend ?

So anyone who post trades on ET now has a hidden agenda ?
