not that it means anything (except maybe to the folks who are dollar cost averaging into their long index funds, certainly not on an intra-day level), but the bulls are prolly gonna hold the line here. Later, Jimmy
thanks steve, thanks jjam. your analysis is noted. i am long the YM entering monday from 10770. watching the dollar very very closely for next entry. holding OIL short with an average entry price of 75.50-- expecting waves of good news soon for the bears in this commodity surf
oh yeahhhhh! our oil shorts turned positive today, holding here--still expecting =<70 prior to >80 up slightly on the DJIA longs--holding. best, surfer
surf I know your channel break short executed and profited per the "system". However I know that you have entered the long position using criteria other than the channel break. Since your channel break method is more-or-less a diversion from the mean method or consolidation break method or range break method - whatever you want to call it - this long entry is not within the system parameters. Are you employing a reversion-to-the-mean method.... arbitrarily or otherwise?
oh yeahhhh ! the longs in YM from 10770 are smoking right now, nicely profitable and i am holding. oil shorts profitable also, holding here. best, surfer
correct, inandlong. this long trade has nothing to do with my channel system. it was simply a statisticaly based trade betting that the odds favored a bounce after so many down sessions. happy you are back! surf
holding djia shorts into friday morning. holding oil shorts. leaving for CT/nantucket vacation--- see everyone later! surf
Makes sense and made cents. Ohhh that was stupid - but I'll leave it. From the old days of neo-G I knew this was a non-channel trade. Well done. Enjoy your weekend.
