  2. thanks jimmyjam! looks like you are correct here.

unreal! man, talk about a bad trade! its no fun closing out a position near/at the bottom even intraday.

on retrospect, it appears that my original channel system would have nailed these moves very nicely, will implement here. the present channel is 11013--- 10923--- flat in the middle, long above/short below.

  3. surf' you know as well as I do the inherent problems consistent with the decision-making leading to the above quote. I urge you to consider more fully your plan of attack. Because you reserve the right to override your systems - perhaps simultaneously applying both of your trading methods but weighting the ante based on your expectations for the near term would prove to be more satisfying. Just my opinion.

  7. ....well for cryin' out loud! ....some days I spend the whole day shakin' my head looking like I just sucked on a lemon.... fortunately not too many days and today isn't one for me, but if this is one for you given your posted range and trade, I know how you feel.

  10. thanks, long. after that small disaster fighting the tide, i am working on getting mentally back in tune to ride the wave.

instinctually, bucking the tide, based on the programs, is appealing to me--and has worked in the past after the channel system simply stopped working. now it looks like the moves are back to being large enough to profit with my original tools.

fortunately, the fund is 50% a FOF of highly unique strategies and this has helped keep us afloat during my losses.

    best,
