Were you not trading when YHOO made it's move back in 99/00 ?

    Or EBAY ?

    or RIMM ?

    or QCOM ?

    What is your target ?

    Where is your stop ?

Wow!! remindes me of the $ 200 or $500 (I can't remember) target for Qualcomm by some anal-yst during 99-00.

I think we are kinda getting in similar situation. If it is so, then this bull run won't end for another year.

  5. GOOG is a different vehicle. it's a game changer, it's profitable, and its growing. watch out.

Surf I have a lot of respect for those who ply the short game, Fleck especially and am often on that side myself and have made money shorting Goog in the past. Takes a great deal of conviction but also a great deal of DD and superb trade management, not to mention a very good feel for the market. I would say that your feel is off on this one and your DD was not that strong shorting it amid the hype of the show rather waiting for the hype to make it pop and shorting the pop, Goog is going to hit $500 soon now and will probably hit $480 next week, long goog is the easy money here and now. I hope you are managing your trade sufficiently well that you are not getting killed on this surge. Good luck, just don't make the mistake of confusing ego and balls with skill and hard work.

Hope you looked at SPIL, might have offset some of your goog losses.

  9. thanks for the tip, MVIC. yes, i was a little early, but still maintain confidence in the position. it is critical that these positions be sized properly to withstand the inevitable adverse moves since none of us are seers-----.

    good luck!
