there are charting services that allow direct plotting of the actual ratio of two symbols. IBM:$XJY looks like this...

i'm very curious why someone would go either short or long this thing right now. frankly it looks like it's stuck dead center of its trading range. but hey, always interested in learning something new...

 

recd a question about why i exited long DJIA at 10:33 this morning. see attached chart-- for those technically inclined, i saw an obivious head and shoulders or tripple top forming, hence the EXIT.
