  3. the DJIA dropped below the surfer neogann pink line triggering shorts in the system. we are currently short the dow here. what i find most interesting is seeing the previous gann line come into play on the chart. note the yellow line providing EXACT support after being drawn some time ago--- review my posted charts to see the progressive growth of the channels as time and price change thru the cycles.

    best,

  4. Surf,

Wasn't it you who started a thread about Fib being "thouroughly debunked"? Now everytime I view one of your charts you have some kind of fib-study on it:confused:

  6. we were stopped out of short entries today. the shorts we held overnight -- trailing stops took us out with a small profit near the open, second entry was closed with a small loss. we are currently flat the dow. the channel is still valid.

    Hello Marketsurfer:

I have been reading your posts for a long time now...

I am interested in opening an account and trading the Dow futures based on your posts here just to see what happens. Which broker do you recommend? What would be the minimum capital required? Thanks in advance Marketsurfer.

  9. hi,

thanks for the support. there are several ways you can go about trading the index based on the surf report. you can trade the YM emini dow futures--this is the least capital intensive--one can open a small futures acccount for $2500.00 at www.daytrade4less.com ( global futures ) and trade one YM contract with 500.00 margin on the Jtrader platform. i HIGHLY reccomend that you start on their free simulator to get use to the software and exactly how the YM moves.

One can also open a regular daytrading account at a brokerage, i reccomend tradestation --- however i would reccomend funding the account with a minimum of 30k so you have 5k cushion for inevitable drawdowns but will stay above the 25k minimum day trading margin. this is only if you are not an end of day trader making onlyone or two trades a day then, of course, you can open an account with IB, ameritrade, etc for whatever their minimum is for a non day trading account. you can trade the DIA dow trackers if you decide not go the futures route.

remember to start small regardless of the amount of capital you have--there are psych issues you need to face when trading any system and it is easiest to start small.

    best wishes !

    surfer :)

  10. system short , initial stops @ 10603. watch 10523 area for support --- if 10523 breaks should portend for additional wave down.

how one handles profits is up to you. trailing stops or just let it ride. your choice
