we are staying short here. back in the green in DJIA, and naz is still a bit away from break even. staying short thru this topping action. best, surfer
greetings, we have determined the surfer gann channels on the DJIA and NASDAQ. the DJIA channel is 10603--10363--- the system states long above, short below and flat in the middle. we are currently short the DJIA outside of system at this time. we will take losses , stop out and reverse at 10603--untill then--staying short. the NASDAQ CHANNEL is 2077--2123. our earlier stated stop figure of 2121 was hit today, but was not broken therefore we are still SHORT. even though, i am losing money in both the shorts at this time, i am psyched that the figure of 2121 was the high--our gann stop figure. if 2121 is broken, we go FLAT and then LONG once 2123 breaks. i still trust my analysis and believe this is topping action in the indexes. however, i will not hesitate to trade the system whatever way should the shorts be stopped out. best, surfer
Here is a question: If you had trusted the gann channels in the past 6 months, trading them in a disciplined manner, how much further along would you be right now?
as you know, the system has consistently profited over the last 4 years. it does suffer some chop at times near the channel figures, but overall it's an extremely effective trading program. i trust the system completely, simply because i am trying different analysis techniques should not lead you to believe that my trust in the system is wavering. i have traded the channels over the last six months as documented in my journal. yes, i have deviated from it on several occassions and have had wins and losses. i don't live in the past and i don't ask "what if" questions. i am concerned with the present. best, surfer
Surf, Your mailbox is full - here is another exchange for your website: The Shanghai Futures Exchange http://www.shfe.com.cn/Ehome/index.jsp Regarding your shorts: I feeeeel your pain! (In my best Little Rock AK drawl ...)
Fair balls to you if You reverse and long @ 603, I assume your trading Futures off the Cash Index. Will you go Long in premarket futures if the fairvalue equivalent is reached ? - whilst typing this I believe we're there. Feelin the pain, best of Luck Kap
