Surf, Would you recomend, (like one of the previous poster has done) using QQQ options as a viable instrument on this call? I'd be interested in knowing what instrument YOU are using to trade this call yourself? rttrader1 -
sure, qqq puts are viable. look for one march / april with decent volume. i have not traded directional puts for years, so i cant give specifics. i am trading DIA, QQQ, YM, NQ. dave g
Dave, Thank you I thought you told me (before) you had used the futures as a primary trading tool, thank you and I'll look forward to seeing how this develops. rttrader1 -
we are down a bit in the nasdaq and djia short trades. however, we are still confident of the coming down wave thus are staying short. the neogann channel system is still not indicating verifiable channel levels therefore if you are trading this system, just stay flat here. our shorts here ( outside of system ) are based on compelling esoteric technical indications, quantatative index models, and basic economic feel. still long MSFT jan 2oo5 calls 25 strike. best, surfer
Hi Surfer, Good to see you Gann channel analysis again. I agree with your latest pick & I just wanted to point out only from a purely technical standpoint that the naz (qqq's) recently did break out of an ascending triangle which would give it (qqq) a target area of about 38.50 (if it follows through). Also the qqq's are coming up on a about a 2 year high level of 39.19. I do see an impending semi correction near this point. Anyways that's my 2 cents worth. Looking forward to trading w/you in the new year. BTW Awesome stuff on SIRI. Surf on Dude.
we are being squeezed here in the longer term short positions. the market is looking strong, but i am still seeing topping action in several areas. we are holding the shorts at this time, will advise when ( if ) we decide to trash the analysis and cover. still LONG msft 25 2005 leaps surfer is gasping for breath while being held under by upwave, however still grasping board at this time and can see some light on surface....... best, surfer
