You said in your comments I referred to "funds" not simply "major hedge funds." The term major funds include mutual funds, many of which are not able to short. Charles Biderman reports money flow in an out of public funds, and the money flow into funds continues to overshadow redemptions. If hedge funds are increasing short positions in either futures or equities, that is going to show up in C.O.T. reports, and reports of short interest in stocks. There is no mystery here, it is you who are attempting to create some impression of "inside" dope and uniqueness by your eariler comments of "per an authority." Stop being secretive and pretending to be on the inside of some special information.
Was trying to post the inflow outflow chart , cut and paste . http://clearstation.etrade.com/cgi-bin/bbs?post_id=5011215 Woodfish
I for one appreciate and look forward to the market insight you provide and like to compare it to my own. I consider his contributions essential to the et community, very few people on this forum have the knowledge and track record that you have. Keep up the good work surfer & don't let one minority opinion deter you in your endeavors. Happy trading!
the problem is surf you imply certain things that you cant/wont deliver when called to task. if you would just post your opinion and position then all would be fine. however, you go further and imply some special knowledge or facts only you are privy to but wont go into detail [ostensibly because of some secret trust you've made not to reveal source] and we [ET] should be grateful for the tidbits you do throw us whatever they may or may NOT be. my opinion of the situation anyway. mileage may vary.
never mind him Surf. Put him on ignore if you have to. Thanks for your info and insights. Always appreciate them.
Hey surf, check out SINA. I'm looking to short it if it goes for a downside break near 34. Initial target 32.25, with remaining to be held until buying arrives in force. Doomsday stop: 35.25. If I see real buying after in position but before initial target hit, I'll be getting out and will post exit. I'll let you know if I jump in, should be easy money if it breaks. I hope you had a nice holiday weekend. Goodluck,
Surf, you post for people like me who so quietly follow you. I had the same problem with a journal, so now I post it on my own website.
Need some clarification.I noticed the width off the channels are quite wide on the Naz and not so much on the dow, does this,in your experience, affect volitility?I know focusing on trading the line breaks are most important, but just wondering if theres a correlation. Thanks Dave.
