Thanks Surf. Would you have chance to elaborate a little bit about why your existing system not very suitable for trading SP500 and stocks? What are the major factors affecting the system?
our system longs entered 8280 djia and 1380 nasdaq composite equivalent several weeks ago are nicely in profitable territory. i am extremely bullish at this time--so much so, it is a bit scary. our models have all turned heavily bullish. holding longs here riding the wave up. best, surfer
Hi Surf, good to see you´re following system trades now. As a fact your report is the initial reason I registered to ET. But lately you freak me out with some of the the hum-and-ho- reasons for individual trades. I would be a bit scared if I started trading like that. As opposed to the system which has kept you live and well for quite some time. Is this a good thing really?: Take care. Good luck with trading and patio-building and all. joe
joe, thanks for the note. i appreciate your concern, however, the bullish indications at this time override my typical systematic approach to the indexes. they are severe and i am going with them. best, surfer hey
spreadem, it absolutely will work for the sp. however, i have no experience with trading the spooz. i am use to the nasdaq and DJIA--that is the only reason i have not applied the system to the sp. i will start working with the SP shortly. best, surfer
If we go below yesterday's lows a short term downtrend will be in effect. Are you going to start taking some profits? And, are you going to hold positions over the weekend?
