  1. Then an apology you will get!

I'm always on the look out for good ideas, but so many times in the past I've taken the time to carefully read scores of pages to find an "empty" thread. It sounds like it's time for me to buckle down and read ALL the pages before the chat tomorrow.

And btw- thanks, it's obvious you've spent a lot of time posting hear.

  2. Ok, I've gotten up to 11/14/02 where market surfer said, "previous posts explain the system in detail".

I must be really dense. I noticed a comment on t-shirts for sale. I noticed links to his web site where a subscription to his service is available.

    But....

I found nothing describing what a gann wheel is, how it is used, what specifically "neogann" is, a premise for the formulas used to create the channel lines, or anything else vaguely educational.

Could someone please point me to even one example in this thread where the specifics are defined? I really would like to learn something. I also wouldn't expect market surfer to give us his system. I would expect some meat and potatoes info though.

  4. Ask and ye shall receive. Thx bobcathy.

Seeing as my impression of you from your posts is very positive, I've got a sincere question to ask. Feel free to ignore if you choose.

In your response in the post above you suggest that this stuff is beyond you. My first thought is, nothing is beyond anybody, and maybe it's the way it's being presented that's the issue. That's why some people perceive me as being very coarse. I'm like a trial lawyer banging out questions until I "get it". I work from the belief that I can get anything, if it's gettable.

The question is: how are you using the info in this thread for your own trading. How has it benefited you? I ask because I'm confused how you would be using it if you don't even understand what it is?

When Marketsurfer announces he is long or short, often he includes the channel numbers to be aware of on the DOW and NASDAQ. I usually trade in shorter time periods during the day, so I treat this like a bias and go from there. Marketsurfer will often hang on longer than I can during drawdowns, so I have to be aware of this.

Even though I am math deprived, I married Bob who has degrees in math and physics. He helps me figure things out, and I design the charts and alerts to express it since I am an artist and very visual.

  6. That does not have to be such a disadvantage, Cathy. My Ph.D. dissertation was on the nonlinear Schroedinger equation. Very heavy nonlinear math, yet the most complex of my trading systems uses only one moving average... that's how complex my trading math is...:D and I really do not believe that I will ever need anything more complex than that for trading.

  9. Wow, I am so glad you liked my system so much that you trade it. I did not know that talking about simplicity of trading qualifies as hyping anything except just the simplicity. And what's wrong with simplicity, tell me? Or better yet, don't tell me because it's obvious that you are pathetic moron...
