MarketSurfer closed the shorts from page 2 on page 7 (10/19). His shorts fired on (10/20) and holding till now. Today is the 27th and that would be 7 days. Please stop wasting your time posting. Thank you.
Well, congratulations Dave, your patience paid off! Of course holding a position way in the red stubbornly until it becomes profitable, that's not what we teach for newbies... Still, I envy your stamina. I guess the position is 60 or so points in the green. Now imagine if you had bailed at your stop loss (according to plan) and had taken another short 100 points higher....
thanks, pekelo. here's the strategy on managing this short. I WILL not allow it to turn into a loss again, since the DJIA is unclear to me right now, but will close somewhere profitable betweeen here and break even. if i am stopped out, will recalculate the channel at that time/price juncture and advise. have a great night! best, surfer
I apologize for the human error. I overlooked that one. Now, you justify defending someone holding on to a 100+ losing trade and how you are an omnipotent being. That is the true waste of energy.
What pain has market surfer inflicted on ETr's? As far as I can tell, he is simply posting his trades, and once in a while he hangs onto a loser. I find nothing wrong with choosing to overide your system and manage the position. Many traders do it, especially those that are well capitalized. I don't see any evidence that he is forcing or telling people to take trades, nor do I see any promises of fantatic wealth and success by simply following his system.

After reading some of Marketsurfer´s posts....he/she seems like a very logical and sensible person... Although before one can judge performance issues...simple documentation of the simplest kind such as brokerage statements must be seen and reviewed... Otherwise one will keep wondering if the person is or is not successful... This is why ET is for entertainment purposes...focusing on the idea of trading... Privacy of course is paramount and inherent in ET... ET is for entertainment...and occassional good bits of information.... ET serves it´s purpose well...and I certainly hope MS and others like him/her keep contributing......
