  2. OK, its monday morning and so far it looks like the upmove could continue in the DJIA at the open. the strategy for managing this trade is as follows: profits will be taken in one of two scenerios-- when the DJIA approaches 10500 will close, then reneter long at the next channel line of 10513 should the move continue. if the market goes the other way, 10363 is the trigger to close the longs--if the trade is closed out on the downside--- the go short level is 10323--lower line. hopefully this makes sense.

  3. It will make sense when you post the entry & exit in real-time. Even 15 minutes after the trade would be acceptable. Nothing else matters.

  4. Look...entertainment is entertainment....

If this guy is for real...he will post his P&L...this idea of reference to before after..etc..is the oldest trick in the book...

    Look post your P&L.....

If you do anything else...you are just blowing wind...and your posts are for entertainment only...

Look guys...this is very simple...no form of documentation of real trading...then this guy is just another bag of gas...wanting to sell crap...

  5. why does it need to be posted in real time? the trades will be executed at the levels indicated, and you can follow along if you wish....

It is true, as much as it is worth, most posts here on ET are entertainments, and nobody said anybody should put down serious money on other people's trading strategies. That is not the purpose of a journal...

On the other hand, what is this fixations with P&L??? A trading strategy can be completely profitable without the poster ever using real money behind it. And as other posters noted in other threads, P&L statements can be doctored, so just take it that there is no bulletproof way of knowing how any particular trader is doing in real life.

When reading trading journals, just judge it by whatever was said and posted by the journal writer, and if you don't like it, go and look for another thread, let's say about monitors or pretty girls or the weather.

    -----------------

Now going back to the topics, Dave, I always wanted to ask about your money management, if you don't mind. How much of your whole capital are you putting on each trade and is it always a constant %??? Or are there times when you are more convinced and risks more???

If you don't want to share it, I understand...

    ...........................................................................

Along with the P&L of course...is the blotter of cancellations etc....and for an active trader....this is very long and detailed...very difficult to dupe....especially over a given period of time...

    Relax..enjoy your entertainment...

    Sounds good...reads well.....

  9. Lib and Dow, theres no reason for anyone to ever post their trade tickets, you two are stepping over the line!Dave is generous enough to share his trade system with us and you two want him to prove something else.If you guys weren't wasting time prying on Dave and taken entries at the break of Dave's system at 10330 or so you guys could have closed above 10480 this morning.Unless you two don't have any money,if you do the post you acct. no. and password and Dave can enter the trades for you, then you can be absolutely with out a doubt sure about Daves trades. LOL!

  10. ok, our 10453 level is acting as support here, holding longs at this time. should 10453 be taken out closing longs, here's the next channel 10513--10423.
