I have a short memory but the market seems to go up every day, rather just be long, nothing is able to bring the market down for more than just a day. I need a good reason to want to short, there are none.
hey mike, et al... if his size is small relatively speaking i think he has a great shot..especially as he is marti slightly. give him a chance. we all know we are due to roll over at the very least. there's a guy on es journal who shorts his share and no one rips him. also i am not interested in surf's past bad calls...just focused on this trade. few of you guys ever call out trades yet you bust balls..
You think it's a sound idea to short the ES going into a first day of the month week end during a bull market ?? The odds don't look good, even leaving TA aside (I can't wish Surf good luck on that one, as i'm pretty heavily on the long side over the week end )
Smurf is a fader by nature. On the rare occasions he's "right" it offers maximum praise and adulation from his followers. Which is of course the reason for all his "calls" to begin with.
Now OBL dying would be fundamentals, right?? (And fake ones at that) Surf double down!!! When Saddam was captured the market did the same on a Sunday night and sure enough we closed that upgap on Monday.... Surf: Broker! I would like to check out! Broker: That would be -18 pts with 3 cars and -11 pts another 3 cars. Shall I ring them up? P.S.: I thought OBL died at Tora Bora a good 7 years ago, but hey, I haven't seen the death certificate....
Luck has got nothing to do with it....hi close in conjunction with an IHS/explosive bullish pattern....big news events more often than not coincide & confirm the charts, helping them come to fruition....that close had gap north written all over it. There was not a single reason to be short in front of that freight train...not even a hint of a "turn"...but plenty of evidence to hop on the train Northbound if you were not already.
