Surf, Nice to see you come back posting. 07-09 1/2 gap. Last level before full gap fill at 16+. Of course, if that works out as a top (at least in the morning), today's PP at 98 is your friend. Good luck.
I notice Surf is posting GLD calls, but it's worth mentioning it's preferable to implement trades in gold futures. GLD profits are subject to "collectibles" taxation, a nuisance.
Great to see you here, Lawrence. Yes, on a strictly technical view you are correct. However, the macro drivers will trump the technical picture in my opinion. Best Surf
Gold printed at 1500!!!! Then proceeded to drop 6 points. Some interesting gold volatility. Anyone else think gold is a good sale here?
I am fairly certain this is classic topping action and provided the pending news flow( if I'm right) gold is finished. Added to shorts at 146 GLD
Glad to make contact with you again EPrado. Sorry about Ice Box, but he never did anything after that race. Yes horse racing has gone south fast. They closed nyc otb !! I may have to goto Belmont to bet the derby. If Uncle Mo runs, i'll pick 3 closers in a triple box and my guess is Mo fades badly as hopefully an underlay. Beyond that, i'm like you, haven't been playin the horses at all. Hard to play this game of trading either, I live or die on volatility. Lately i've been dying. smurf shorted crox @ $47 and it reached $75 before crashing. He gets in front of trains and he always gets crushed. This "journal" is a humor column and that's all. Keep in touch..
Yeah...I cleaned up with Ice Box when he won The Fla Derby at 25-1, but after his 2nd in Kentucky he never ran a good race again. Looks like Zito has another nice one in Dialed In. NYC OTB deserved what it got. All the higher ups were getting ridiculous salaries and the spending there was insane. Now there is talk of The Meadowlands shutting down. Crazy.... I will for the 20th year in The Derby bet closers...always do. Uncle Mo will be lucky to start.....the horse has a ton of issues. I hope Pletcher runs him though....will take stupid money as he has no shot at all getting the 1 1/4. Yeah..with volatility dead in the Stock indexes I have been trading more Oil and Gold. I have made some adjustments in my strategy, but it's been very tough in the Sp's to get anything going. The Crocs call is a great example....it's like gold right now....why short it as it sets new highs everyday. I would rather start shorting it at 1400 then to keep guessing like he is for a top. He is in "short and pray" mode. Kinda of like the buy and hope he always talks about.
