Everybody has winners and losers . . . and King never flames. This is a truly educational thread. Marketsurfer will return to trade again, as soon as the old ego heals. Since he started this thread he is still net positive, I think.
I knew he was going to get mowed down, but if he put 1 or 2 contracts in at 1330... the resistance from a couple of weeks ago, it would be justifiable... He would have got 7 points and been done with it, knowing most wont go into the weekend that long (unless there fucking assholes).. If you were looking for a small short profit that would have been the entry point... Not at 1322 with 6 contracts going into a jobs number...
Not at all. But if you look at his strategy it's beyond flawed. Continually adding to losers as they go against him is a blow up strategy. One where his biggest positions are well against him, and his smaller positions are in the money. Recipe to go broke trading. Hell..he seems like a nice guy...hopefully these"trades" are fantasy ones. No reason to root against him. But I can see where he rubs people the wrong way with his bold proclamations and his ripping others strategies....kind of hilarious because the strategies he rips are the profitable ones. He has had some good calls in the past. One in particular..CROCS. But again..he kept shorting into an uptrend, got taken out ....then the stock plummeted. Sound familiar ? Surf needs to learn...THE TREND IS YOUR FRIEND.
Well you post on the boards like a frickin connected know it all who lectures to others ad nauseum then it proves what we all think about him.
No, just smaller losses. And possibly fewer of them. So what are the choices, Rodney? Unless we're engaging in adulation we're necessarily flaming? How very dichotomous of you. If you do not wish for surf's trades to be critically evaluated, then maybe he shouldn't be posting them. Perhaps you two should have a discussion in this regard.
Did surf ever tell us what is margin to equity was? What fraction of his wealth is at risk in this trade? Not at all. We have know way to know if a few emini's would put him at risk of "blowing up". Also, so far as I can see he did not continually add to a loser. He reached a max position size, then at some point decided to exit with a loss.
