If it opens up above Surf's price of $2.50 he should hit the bid and move on. There is a very good chance KCG heads to $1.50.....and very quick. Me thinks Sam is the winner.

Why do you keep thinking in terms of winner and loser. Same made his part of the bet very clear. Zero by Friday. That is the only outcome that vindicates him. Surf can hold on forever I guess. But in my opinion he get a double out of the stock and should have sold. If the company survives it will trade north of $10 sometime in the next year. I have no idea how long Surf is going to hold this thing for. But Sam's prognostication was made very clear. We can set him right on Friday.

  3. So why not traders all (write/sell) options to have the premium guarantee?

TL, again, I'm not talking about "actual" options. It's a way to describe asymmetry in a trade. Cheap stocks are like options without the decay. So selling short a $2 stock is not a good trade because the most one can earn is 2 pts and their loss is infinite. Very much like selling a naked option. Except the option actually decays and in this case if you are short the stock you earn nothing while you are waiting. It's far better to buy $2 stocks then short them.

  5. No, my real name is not trendlover. You know that. I can not really know who is I am talking to, and maybe they are crazy people. I will never talk about anything for someone to find me, or hurt me. But I think you are real trader. Maybe I am wrong, maybe I am right.

Maverick is the only winner of this make-believe-paper-trade in which I could not and did not short at $2, and in which surferboy could not and did not 'average in' at $2.00 either.

Maverick is a winner. They call him the winner. Because he wins.

Mav saying you suggested shorting the stock at 2.00 is comical. I guess if someone asks me would if I would buy SP Futures up here at 1390 and I said no fucking way, that makes me short them?

Surf made a call at 2.50 or so. His post market fills are, most likely are a fantasy as he never stated any kind of price/shares. That on top of the fact the stock did not trade there for long makes his claim of a fill that caused his whole position to have "average of 2.00" a tall tale.

So at 3.00 it's profitable. Good trade so far. The problem is without any risk mgmt on the down side or an idea of where to take profits this trade is doomed.

He should have listened to his guy on the sidelines (I won't call him a cheerleader ) who told him to take some off after he achieved a 60% gain in a day or so.
