I am not arrogant or lazy. I'm only interested in strategies. For the entertainment value of it, I'm sure they're good reads, but as far as writing down mechanically what they were doing I would find to be likely lacking. I'm interested to see what the results of your strategies or the strategies of the people in your book are.
Ok. One more. Chapter 4 and 5 of 'The Complete TurtleTrader'. Get off your [blank] and do some homework. The dunce act is tiring.
Michael, I don't need to read it. If you can summarize it, I'm all ears. You may want to discuss some of the information outside of an individual reader's session. Even if I wanted to, I could not read the book immediately. If you have an electronic copy I'd certainly be willing to review it. I don't know why a book publisher on a trading forum doesn't have his own strategies. I've read more books about finance than a PhD in Economics, and written original research literature. This book appears entertaining only, and not something that is actually going to produce results. If you think that there's something in it that you think would help my trading I would like to hear it. So what's in chapter 4 and 5? Does it have the turtle trading definition trading strategy?
I don't have to buy the book. I'd rather hear your explanation of what you want me to get out of it. There's no reason to attack somebody personally, and I am not arrogant. I don't have to listen to you, and this doesn't say anything about me being lazy. CFA text books can be over 700 pages long, and there are more than 18 sessions or units in it. There isn't going to be anything in there that I can't get from those. It's not that I'm arrogant or lazy, I don't have a copy and I don't feel like reading it right now. Why don't you turn your thoughts about what we're discussing and provide some original content?
Volume charts and the ergodic oscillator. It is not possible to program in basic, but the indicators are programmed in easylanguage and you would only want to use MultiCharts anyway.
It sounds like Covel feels that if you read any book other than his you are less of a person. My 7th grader has more common sense than that. And he calls you arrogant . . . what balls. My respect for him as an author is diminishing as I write this.
