Surfy Surfy Surfy you had the world on a string... Against all odds (you are a terrible trader) you nailed a beaut short entry. Then you let it all get away. Hubris: Hubris ( /ˈhju¢°brɪs/), also hybris, means extreme haughtiness, pride or arrogance. 6% move in 90 minutes. I feel for you, Surfy, if you couldn't participate. I know you saw this coming.
So do you short when the ppf's start to print knowing those will move as the market moves against that position? And do you use stops or just hang on knowing eventually that label will be correct?
I didn't follow his infamous Crocs short. However, I do notice that he enters early, exits late, and never reverses. The profile is consistent with his obvious desire to be "right" in his market calls and look like a jeenyus. Entering late and exiting early is the better approach. But this forgoes nailing the turning points and purposefully leaves money on the table, which is not exciting or likely to impress anyone except dullards who are interested in growing their accounts.
Early = Wrong ....when one trades short term, with real capital & significant size....no sugar coating here!
