Thanks prado I don't have any particular system in mind, just the countless fixed price volume objective systems that don't evolve with the market. All fixed systems are doomed to fail. Even the great Crabel inspired death channel neo surf system floundered. The flexions ar those of us that have learned to evolv and change with the market thus do not use the same old methods as everyone else. Surf
The plan 1303 go flat 1307 reverse Long--- sentiment flows appear to be starting to change. Expecting a solid bounce higher should the 1307 level be violated. If not.0, and stopped out short at 1303. 1297 is the next short level and stop reverse for long at 1307 Please note, pressure isn't fully clear so this is a risky trade if triggered. Use caution! I agree that one must adapt at times to different mkt conditions and make the necessary changes at times. But....there are plenty of older strategies that continue to work and have been for years. Their success is primarily determined by position sizing and risk management. At the end of the day Surf, trading is trading. If you have the discipline and strong risk mgmt, you will succeed. If you don't, you will fail. I would be willing to bet that a majority of failed traders lost because no discipline/risk mgmt. Not because they were not flexions. Fixed systems or non fixed systems...it's the same for everyone.
Will mechanically trade the levels outlined earlier until 9. 30 am est Tuesday where everyting will be reevaluated. Good luck surf.
LOL ! EPrado you crack me up. It appears to me that smurf contradicts himself when answering your questions, but I believe that is his intent, to raise contradictions, irritate, and get his prized views. Exacta paid $5.80. Could you have been more right? Anyway, What a stratch run! Reminded me of affirmed and alydar. I think Dominguez cost HDG a length or so approaching the first turn. HDG should have settled in behind the 2 leaders and had no business rushing up like that. The way HDG pulled in front again at 1 3/16 miles was incredible. I wish they faced Zenyatta, but understand why they didn't as they were both 3 year olds. Can't wait to see them square off again.
Surf is a strange bird at times. He seems to contradict everything. A lot of the stuff he criticizes are things he does himself. He probably stirs shit up all the time to draw fire/attention to his threads. He's certainly good at that. As far as The Del Cap........GREAT race huh? Like you said...reminded me of the way racing used to be. I'm sure they will meet up again...hopefully before The BC. I think Dominguez was trying to get as much space between HDG and BL knowing that BL would be flying late. You are probably right as Dominguez was way too close. Did you see HDG's trainer Larry Jones whining after the race that the 2 extra pounds that she carried her cost her the race? He said he should have scratched because the weight. Ridiculous. $5.80 makes sense as there were only two horses in the race....Life at Ten is done...has been since The BC Debacle.
He probably had great returns in the 2nd half of 2008....then been losing money since. It's funny how Surf rips on people who don't adapt to mkt changes, but yet he is still trading like it's 2008 and the vix is at 90. He goes for home runs in markets that one shouldn't be going for home runs in. It's amazing that the flexions haven't pulled his membership yet. Hopefully they at least rescinded his voting rights at their meetings.
As much as I congratulate you for locking in 13 or so points gains, all you did was you captured a decent profit in a choppy market, but your predicted: "There will be a plunge of biblical proportions shaking the financial markets to it's core." never materialized, and you could have made the same profits by being long.... Just sayin'.....
Our plan has triggered long in the sept ES at 1307 after booking short profits at 1303. Long here. Surf
Folks, We bailed on these 6 ES sept longs at 1309. There is simply too much negativ for the slate of positive earnings to battle much more Flat with short trigger unknown at this juncture. Surf
