Well, FB fell apart. There's not much you can do at resistance against a heard of charging bulls. It did make a similar move through 150, but that was going into a tech correction, and after earnings...now we're shrugging off tech bullishness and going into earnings. My collar position is going to cost me some gains here, I suspect. TTM went nicely ITM though. Hopefully this drive holds through the day...because the bulls in NY are likely to get slapped down in Indian trading. Edit: oh, nope, we're good. My Bombay chart didn't update...looks a bit more bullish with the last candle.
out SRPT for now, +70 ticks/400 bucks might regret it later after the open but i will rebuy if i isee it setup again
Welcome back. All my trades were going south while you were gone (well, not really, but the open positions I noted in here).
2 trades this morning SRPT and BBY, should have rebought the puke on SRPTat 39.60 playing off the days lows, but it looked sketchy as fuck at the time. up 1k on the day.Now just going top be patient the rest of the day, easy money has already been made. BBY was a bit of a piss off, was short 55, but it felt like a bit of a chase so i started taking risk off almost immediatelythen i was all out at the bottom then greed took over and i added back what i took off, thinking it had 1 more push in it, only to have it go 70 cents against me, still a great trade but i was mad at myself for taking off half of it as sooon as it showed me a profit, so i got greedy at the bottom, stupid move. fnially said fuck it im not fighting anymore and bailed on the rest of it at 53.90 made about 600 bucks on the trade but was up over a thousand bucks on it at one point.
Talked myself out of another good afternoon long, on SRPT mostly cause i was up a thousand bucks on the day and didnt really feel like taking on any more risk but should have taken this setup on SRPT. I had my finger on the trigger and was thinking about it at 41.90, but just kind of wasnt feeling it at the time. I need to get better at taking some more of these mid morning setups when its that obvious. Ive been harping on this trade over and over in this journal but i keep on not being able to convince myself to do it, same story as JPM, and NRG.
Look at the JPM chart from a few days ago, almost identical, it double bottoms on support, then starts grinding higher.
Only other trade today was LOW, just stupid piker trading i kept just taking 500 shares hoping to build into something if it went down, pissed away 200 bucks shorting LOW when it was in a 10 cent range, did it 4 times in a row too, not very bright. Finished the day up 800
