Thx Chuck, for the kind words, well spoken, i was getting geared up to tee off on the first thing i saw, but instead shorted a few ES at the top of the bounce and got out of all of it at a profit, atleast its not negative, this day could have gone much worse if i didnt think about what i was doing.

  3. Damn...6 pages in a day! I wondered if that pic was Canada. A lake of that size, with a west view, without mountains, with green vegetation, in the mountain timezone doesn't describe many places in the US.

Vacation is beach in North Carolina.

And I (usually) wake up about 10 mins before the market with my alarm, hit snooze once, and check everything when the alarm goes off again at 7:29.

Edit: oh, forgot, as for trade ideas, I'm long on TTM for a $34 8/18 call since Friday. Looking for $36 and $37 as exits...I'd be bullish to mid $39s if I were watching closely, but just have this one on autopilot for vacation.

  5. I had it in my head that you were Canadian--I was just surprised to see you in the same time zone as me. Most Canadians I speak to come from very near a coast (be it Great Lakes / St. Lawrence, or one of the oceans).

  6. Also, great call on ES / SPX. How'd you fare today? As an aside, it got me looking at the bearish case for the S&P so I opened a put position this morning :D

LOL, its very respectable you said Great Lakes/ St. Lawrence, most Americans just ask if im from Toronto or Vancouver.

Only 2500, should have made 5 figures on that lol, here is a chart with all the entries and all the exits, i struggled for 14 hours with the ES and finally came out on top, dont know if thats persistence or stupidity, i lean towards the latter.

I mean theres really to words that can do this chart justice, i was shorting the ES the whole way down from like 3:00A.M. yesterday morning and somehow kept losing money till i finally caught it at the bottom, this is the kind of stupidity that can blow out an account, i was just so convinced i was right i attempted the same ideas like 4 times in a row, it paid out, but it should have punished me. :(

  9. I'm just a geography nut. My friends are amazed at how I can look at a map for like 2 mins in a totally new (European) city, and find my way to our destination without having to look again...
On a larger scale, you've got to get deep into Asia or Africa before there's a city of 100k that I don't know.
Hey, chalk up the "W" and call this one a winner. I wouldn't complain about that.

Yep your right, a "W" is a "W" as long as im not losing i usually can accept it, but im always hypercritical of myself when i look back on a chart, and i had the right idea. Maybe i should eliminate all the entry exit arrows from the charts cause they tend to make you feel like you missed the chart almost always, even when your right.
