Shoot, I missed the 25.30 entry on that...story of my life. If I had been playing this one consistently and watching constantly, I'd have nailed it like crazy on this one...just sitting with tight stops when it shows inflection at S/R and waiting.
Hey I wanna short whatever company it is you work for. They are not getting their money's worth out of their employees. Take a look at FB you two... told ya the bottom was gonna fall out. Its got $167 in it easy.
Yup, watched FB as it fell. Brief pause here before it drops like a rock. And we're not publicly traded. And you'd want to short when I leave here! I can get away with this because I make them so much money. (That said, I do truly feel overpaid--I maybe have 3 hours of actual work in a day). Most of what I do is make decisions that I'm held accountable for--if they're good, I get an awesome bonus, if they're not, I have to explain what I did. I'm and underwriter, and my guiding philosophy is, after the claim can I explain what I did writing it. So not a lot of work to go into it, but quite a bit of know-how. For someone to walk in the door and handle the same volume would probably be 2 full time positions. I just don't have to waste time with the back-and-forth that someone who doesn't know the marketplace does.
LOL, unless there is news mid day on something like FB your just asking to get chopped up by algos, price action never makes any sense they just run it all over and stop everyone out.
It's a longer term play than that--so not worried about the chop. It just hurts to watch my daily pnl when it's doing that. *sigh*
Let ya in on a little secret Max. Here's the Max Pain (no pun) for tomorrows option expiration These work really well the week after earnings. So yeah, the algy's can do their thing... but this thing will be a lot lower this time tomorrow.
Holy shit. I didn't not know about that site. That's f'ing awesome. And only a 1-day lag. I spend minutes pouring over the options chains trying to figure that stuff out. How do I not know of this already?!
I likre the max pain theory, where did you get that chart from? is there somewhere you can go to find that for specific stocks?
