The Storm

  1. I have been trading equities (prop) for two years now with year over year success. With implementation of the hybrid and the exteremely low volatility it has been difficult to adjust and to make money. With that being said I have had my worst month in a long time and still managed to break even. A lot of people in my firm have either blown themselves out or left becuase they were used to the specialist system and didn't want to bother to learn or adapt to the hybrid. I am not sure my office will even stay open and it weighs on my mind a great deal. I am confident that I can be a successful trader for a long time however getting by in a slow market is much harder than before. I have worked extremely hard to get where I am but not sure about whether to continue on or go back to a regular career. Has anybody gone through a similar situation that can offer any advice, I would very much appreciate it.

    Thanks.
