You know that half of Wall Street graduates from ivy leagues without degrees in finance. Anyway, why would I listen to a guy named athlonmank8. What a stupid name.
you could have read the article. He makes some interesting points. Or you can ignore it just because it’s CNN.
That would be like me giving you a Breitbart article and saying the same thing. You may say you would read it, but I highly doubt it. Anyone can grab any type of statistical reference and twist it to meet their argument, on either side of the argument. The fact is if the markets actually thought Buden would win they'd be dropping like a rock. The core fundamental of a Democrat president, just like the shitshow Obama was, is higher taxes and increased regulations. Both are an enemy of the markets. Obama came in at the tail end of the 2008 financial crisis after the markets had already scraped the bottom of the barrel. They had nowhere to go but up. And yet, even with that fact, 3 injections of Quantitative Easing, and 0 interest for his entire presidency, he only managed to push the Dow 3,000 points over it's all time high in 8 years. This is what happens when you choke business with tons of regulations killing small businesses and startups, the primary providers of employment in America. This is what happens when you have a corporate tax rate of 35% combined with those regulations that make businesses take their production circuits overseas since they cannot compete in a global market. Trump, in less than 4 years has nearly doubled markets from their initial all time highs. This was initially done with higher interest rates and no QE Pre-Coronavirus. He slashed regulations at a rate of 3 to 1 and pressured Congress on a tax bill that lowered the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%. He created new trade deals with international partners in bilateral agreements rather than multilateral agreements. He used tariffs to pressure bad trade deals. All of these aspects created a rush of new jobs stimulating both lower unemployment and increased consumer confidence and spending that drove markets to almost double in 4 years. Yet somehow liberals would have us believe a Chinese puppet with dementia like Biden would somehow be who the markets are putting their money on while sustaining current highs with the election just 2 months away? Sure thing buddy.
His argument that Biden friendly industries like solar and cannabis are doing well while trump friendly industries like oil are not. given that we are approaching an election, the market will be projecting the future and this would indicate Biden is expected to win. However he also states there are potentially other factors at play like fed policy. Your long rant makes no sense in this context. Do you actually think that brietbart and cnn are in the same league as journalistic integrity?
Oh yes!! These are the industries driving the entire nation right now! /s You name a single industry within one sector next to many sectors and somehow think you just made a solid point. That's cute. Did you make the same retarded point in 2016 when the EXACT same conundrum was curtailing oil under Obama? I doubt it. Likely you have no idea what you are even talking about. Just because you are incapable of actually making a genuine point and just had to say ANYTHING you could against actual logical points backed up by actual events/ results that have occurred and shown to have improved the markets, doesn't somehow make anyone think you actually know what you are talking about. The fact is you have little understanding of what drives the economy and it shows in the feeble logic of your last post. To somehow compare cannabis and solar to oil is laughable. Even in its current state oil is a giant compared to the joke of industry of both cannabis and solar combined.
the points of the article are that cannabis stocks are doing well could be a sign that the market is expecting a Joe Biden win. If oil stocks were doing well they could be a sign of a Trump win. You are a trader. You understand that the stock market as a whole tries to predict the future. I don't agree with the article on the point about oil. I do agree with the article on the point of cannabis stocks. My name "NewWurldMn" is based on a song from a band named Rush (a bunch of Canadians). That's probably enough for you to put me on ignore.
You do know that Trump has publicly stated his feelings that marijuana should be legal right? It was his former AG Jeff Sessions, who he has publicly renounced, that had the war on marijuana. And no I don't put people on ignore. Unlike liberals we don't feel the need to use violence or censorship to shutdown those whose ideologies we disagree with.
His administration has done otherwise whether it be Jeff Sessions or someone else. Further, the perception is that he's against marijuana. You literally disregarded an article because of the author's name a few posts above. And whose "we"? Are you speaking for all conservatives on this site? in the world? Because you know that is patently false on any level than maybe yourself (and even that is also false). Also is "ignore" the same as "violence and censorship?"
