could you post a chart to illustrate what you just said in your last post....would make it eaiser to understand. thanks in advance

trying to understand where brackets would be placed in today's mkt.

"Half of any bars would be more than 2 ticks minimum. Add to that an offset from the stop log (4 back for slow trends today) and you are beyond all of the bars on the chart for today except maybe bar 1 before the sync."

    You can look closely.

I did some stuff to point out what 4 back (slow pace means) I could not label each part to get the pieces of the stop log. 4 back is almost a value as a stand alone to get bracket. You add the 1/2 length of a bar. (The kind before new point 3).

Those long bars are VVDU long bars where the price jumps all over the place tween trades. The long bars fool most people into thinking something is happening. What is happening is NO volume practically and any price that comes into the picture causes jumps.

I chose the bracket as tighter than the addition value. the reason is that there were no trades there today except bar1 before sync. I set up bracket on the congstion level of CCC by making it that tight Less than the sum of 4 back in stop log plus the 1/2 normal bar (with real acceptable volume making it).

I set center in congestion and it stuck.

You will see that we did it quite well. We were kept out of both long and short trades.

I did not make pic of this because I am not good at it as you see. I am glad to give you rough stuff however. Getting all the aspects is a crowded mess

    I picture is a 1,000 words thiough

    Not as an ego comment.

The posts today do have some jewels. The long bar comment for example. What happens if your highline these in yellow or such, is that you imprint them.

This bunch of pages is a good set to tuck in somewhere.

Both the bracket bunch and the bunch on preflight are keepers.

You know I cannot just punch this stuff up when we were beginning. The density of content is a killer most of the way to expert. I am not cluttering the landscape with details. I am putting you in the drivers seat. Read, highline, bunch, and store. The actions you do cement it into you.

If you are visual, then the chart is a good thing to review. I speak aloud meds stuff and it sticks. It comes back when you see it again that's for sure.

If the day ends on 987.2, I told you so. lol

we worked it today and that is money in the bank.

We saw a CCC a failure to BO and another CCC.

    this is grooving.

  7. Wall Street is working its way through a pack of economic reports this week, with data on second-quarter U.S. gross domestic product coming on Thursday, plus closely watched reports on the labor market and the manufacturing sector on Friday.

  8. Nice stuff, kept me flat all day. I would have lost money 6 months ago on a day like today.

    Binder material for sure.

    Thanks.

  9. Question while studying tonoc.

You chose 5 bar VDU as balance point for the bracket. I understand how you got the extremes of the bracket ( 4 back on stop log plus 1/2 normal bar)

What I missed was, how did you get the balance point? Will we use the 5th bar VDU every day, or will the criterion for this point selection vary through some sort of math process?

Also noticed that low volume tends to knocks STOCs out of rythm with one another, so there are flaws all over the place. The only place possible for trades yesterday was on the MACD xo, this is the picture I see so far.

    Thanks prof,

    Oddi

I pick it out as the congestion sets up. glance at the heavier red line on chart. I did it then.
