The Stigma of Daytrading Lives

  1. Thank you all for your daytrading euphemisms and euphuisms. But with respect I must decline to use them. I tell people who ask what I do, "Do remember all those times when your 401K cratered day after day? Until over half of it was lost? Yes? That was due to people like me relentlessly and mercilessly shorting index futures."

    My family is extremely skeptical about me trading and I'm fairly sure they think I'm crazy to do it though they usually just give quip responses or instantly say that they don't think that. Meh, so far they've been right that it's a bad idea, I've lost £200 and I'm on another £100 but for some reason I feel fairly certain I'll bounce back on this one. Like the pound I'm a stubborn bitch.

    It does seem to be the people who work in the classic office careers etc. that have the most skepticism about it though weirdly enough.
