  1. He is not Dr. Coconut :D , and he make no money from research.
Ok, I agree with you that if you eat no meat your chance for cancer is less. ONLY because NOT the saturated fat of the meat is the cause, but what is in that saturated fat of the meat possibly (cause) the cancer.
    So eat the coconut!

  2. put de lime in de coconut, you drink 'em bot' up.... NOT! :D

Coconut oil contains virtually no nutrient we need, and is almost devoid of appreciable amounts of most any nutrient other than saturated fat.

And, it is one of the highest in myrisitc acid, one of the most damaging saturated fats there is.

I think I'll pass. you got to be really nuts to eat de coconut :D

  4. I bet Gorilla's eat a lot of starch. Do you think that made them as smart as us? And look at the last sentence above. "But another possibility is that the extra nutrients came from starch". Possibility? So your case is not proven!

If man were to go back to only eating veges and fruits we would dumb down pretty fast.

I know the son of a vegetarian mom and dad. He is also a vegetarian. He is my vegetarian daughters boyfriend. He is about as smart as a horse. My daughter is becoming dumber than a horse. So what if she thinks she is going to college. I don't think she will make it through it before her brain rots! So the dumbing down is already happening!

And your study above is flawed. It has been proven lately that we did not evolve from chimps. Chimps and us had a common ancestor. We are not evolved chimps.

One more thing. Meat and fat are concentrated energy. Carbs are not!

KTS, eat the Caveman diet and you will be healthy.

Eat meat and fish, eggs, fruit, veges, nuts, seeds and berries.

Avoid grains, beans, potatoes, dairy and sugar.

Your weight will be normal. You blood sugar levels will be normal. Your cholesterol levels will be normal. You will be chock full of nutrients. You will not be protein deficient!

You will be so healthy and full of energy you will laugh at all the vege heads that can hardly keep healthy at all. (I used to know one who just died at age 40 of a heart attack from malnutrition and being fat from eating too much starch).

    Good luck!

  5. I'm not trying to prove my case with this. I don't rely on anthropological theory to tell me what's healthy to eat, and what's not. I look at current nutritional research for this answer.

It's YOU numbnuts that said "eat meat cause it caused a big brain duhuh." Not necessarily starch MAY have played a bigger role. :D

"Rats fed a high-fat diet show a stark reduction in their physical endurance and a decline in their cognitive ability after just nine days, a study by Oxford University researchers has shown.'

"The rats on the high-fat diet were also making mistakes sooner in the maze task, suggesting that their cognitive abilities were also being affected by their diet. The number of correct decisions before making a mistake dropped from over six to an average of 5 to 5.5."

"These are startling results," says Professor Kieran Clarke, head of the research team at Oxford University. "It shows that high-fat feeding even over short periods of time can markedly affect gene expression, metabolism and physical performance. By optimising diets appropriately we should be able to increase athletes' endurance and help patients with metabolic abnormalities improve their ability to exercise and do more."

"In little more than a week, a change in diet appears to have made the rats' hearts much less efficient," says Professor Jeremy Pearson, Associate Medical Director of the British Heart Foundation, who funded the research. "We look forward to the results of the equivalent studies in human volunteers, which should tell us more about the short-term effects of high-fat foods on our hearts. We already know that to protect our heart health in the long-term, we should cut down on foods high in saturated fat."
