  1. That's a non sequitur. Being anorexic and vegetarian a completely unrelated. If she's not eating the right stuff, that's a separate problem.

I eat all I want all day long only it's almost all fruit and vegetables. I run every other day and just ran a half marathon. I'm the healthiest I've been in decades.

  2. Well, if you were my daughter maybe you would think differently. Even she admits it was going on a vegetarian diet that made her lose weight and get skinnier and skinnier to the point where now she can hardly eat anything without it making her sick.

Be carefull about running. You never know what blockage lurks in that heart of yours from eating dead singed animal carcass's before you were a vegetarian. :p

  3. Hi,

I am a non-stringent vegetarian eating minimal eggs and dairy and do note that my diet makes me thin.

What I suggest (could be wrong of course):

    Eat more beans and lentils

Eat more whole grains with the germ intact and fresh

    Take some supplements
    - Brewer's Yeast that contains vitamin B12
    - Soy Lecithin granules

Send me a pm if you need to know where to order online with a discount.

  4. Jack LaLanne advocates an organic and vegetarian diet....

    he'll be 96 in Sept.

@age 70 handcuffed and shackled, he fought strong winds and currents as he swam 1.5 miles (2.4 km) while towing 70 boats with 70 people from the Queensway Bay Bridge in the Long Beach Harbor to the Queen Mary.

    :D

  5. Jack LaLanne ate boatloads of egg whites, so he was an ovovegetarian. There's no way he could have put on that kind of muscle without it btw.

  7. Yup. Crap.

There's so much (untrue) folk wisdom out there about diet, it's no wonder Westerners are so fat.

The only real benefit of protein supplements is the lining of the pockets of dietary supplement vendors.

  10. I think the vegan lifestyle is very healthy, much healthier than the typical Western Diet of course. I was just pointing out that if your goal is to put on muscle, you're not going to do it with pure veganism, at least not the typical bodybuilder kind.

One NFL player - can't remember his name - turned vegan and immediately lost 10 pounds of muscle. However, he felt that that fact was more than compensated by the newfound energy he felt.

But there is no substitute for animal protein if your goal is muscle.

Remember: even the Ornish Diet, which is essentially vegan, allows for egg whites.
