RDA is only for the vitamin and mineral.
No RDA for fat, carbohydrate, protein.
So you say because no one make RDA for fat, that means you do not need that?

With fat, protein, carbohydrates it is subjective because of age, activity, sometimes male or female. No one number for all people.

  2. killthesunshine, you say only eat plants and seed. Ok. A coconut is fruit from that plant. That fruit is the white inside the shell. That white have oil. That oil is saturated fat.
The (whole) coconut is the seed.

  3. I have to go now. But I will argue with you soon. :D
But be careful with your health when you take (ALL) saturated fat away.

  4. ERRRRT.. wrong answer.

The Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for both men and women is 0.80 g of protein/kg body weight per day.

Carbohydrate RDA is 130g per day for adults.

No RDA is set for saturated fatty acids.

The body produces enough for it's needs. No known necessity to consume saturated fats in the diet. However, there are DECADES of research showing its harm.

  7. NUTRITION FACTS

    For a 2000 calorie diet :

    Total Fat: Less than 65g

    Saturated Fat: Less than 20g

    Cholesterol: Less than 300mg

    Sodium: Less than 2.400mg

    Potassium: 3500mg

    Total Carbohydrate: 300g

    Dietary Fiber: 25g

This is written on the box of some of my favorite boxed frozen junk food.

Now where does it say not to eat saturated fat?

Killthesunshine, you like ladies with some fat on them. How do you expect them to look that way if they cut saturated fat out of their diet?:p

  8. Right here:

Saturated Fat: LESS than 20g (per day)

Notice all the stuff listed that's bad starts with a "less than"

    :D

  10. I once read that there is a blood type (something like AB negative) that has to eat red meat at least once a month or they will die.

And how do you get B12 from a carrot?
