  1. Not true, you disregarded advice in an article you posted which said that adding olive oil AND canola oil to your diet was heart healthy.

You chose to ignore the advice that was given because it did not 'align' with your viewpoint.

And yes, that was 'of substance' because it came from an article that YOU posted which you wouldn't have posted had it not been a proponent of something you already believed in.

  2. i don't know what that last statement means.. please clarify if you please.

olive oil AND canola oil, yes it is healthier but only if you REPLACE saturated fat with it.

But in and of itself OILS are highly processed sources of FAT.

rather than simply replace a very unhealthy fat (sat fat) with a LESS unhealthy fat (canola, olive) just eat whole vegetables (that the oil comes from). won't get too much then :D

  3. The article did NOT say to replace saturated fats with these oils it said to add these oils to your diet if you have not already as they are healthy.

  4. IF what you say is correct then they are wrong to suggest that throwing even more FAT in form of OIL on an already poor high-fat diet is healthier than simply REDUCING the FAT by eating whole veggies.

How can YOU argue anything other than this :D

ask yourself what is so magical about olive oil?

  5. Because they are suggesting that the health benefits of these oils outweigh the negatives of them containing some fat. Something in their chemical composition which helps the heart function better than if you did not eat these oils at all.

  6. their chemical composition is known..
do they say what this magical 'something" is that reverses their PROVEN high unhealthy fat content?

if you can't answer then why do you believe it

you really should ask yourself this because you may be susceptible to phishing scams too!

  7. Recent observations indicate that extra virgin olive oil may support cardiovascular health by reducing blood pressure, improving the health and function of the Endothelium, decreasing the likelihood of obstruction within the arteries and combating “sticky blood”. These are but some of the scientifically established reasons to include more olive oil in your daily diet.

  8. from 'MAYO CLINIC'

"When choosing fats, olive oil is a healthy choice. Olive oil contains monounsaturated fat, a healthier type of fat that can lower your risk of heart disease by reducing the total and low-density lipoprotein (LDL, or "bad") cholesterol levels in your blood. "

"All types of olive oil contain monounsaturated fat, but "extra-virgin" or "virgin" olive oils are the least processed forms, so they're the most heart healthy. Those types contain the highest levels of polyphenols, a powerful antioxidant that also can promote heart health. "
