The social cost of war

  2. Criminals that havent got caught for their crimes and are still young, naturally gravitate towards to military. These guys likely would've committed crimes had they not been in the military at all. Most of the time though the military straightens the criminals out and they can be upstanding citizens when they go back to civilian life.

    Case in point...

    I had a cop as a neighbor who had 2 sons and raised them both the same. One went into the military when he finished high school. The other didnt. The one in the military is living a decent life. The other one was arrested and put in jail for robbing 9 different people at ATMs.

    The crimes noticably increased since the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. This indicates some crimes are PTS.
