The Secret

Discussion in 'Psychology' started by trader28, Feb 9, 2006.

  1. Hey this is psychology right? He (twofacedjoker) had hit it on the head...as much as he can't spell worth of crap and refuses to use the spell checker...

Most western thought of success is the idea of accumulation and striving for wealth, living in a rat race. The fear of death that is instilled in us from birth and enforced by organized religion as well stems from this. Ever wonder why so many people are sick in the head in America and in the west? the rat race and stress is doing it. And all the while they think money and accumulation of things will make it somehow better or easier and at the end they have a big surprise....
    Quote from twofacedjoker:

    I disagree,

There are two kinds of people in life,

    those that let things happen,

and those that make things happen.

    which one are you ?

The PDF version mentions "..VCR without a videotape.." in chapter 18. Bio: Charles Haanel (1866-1949)... Unless he saw into the future, the book was creatively edited.

Can someone who has the book confirm? Any thoughts on it? Whoever edited the book might have edited it elsewhere.

It is OK if edits are as benign as this one. Just concerned if some more complicated content was edited.

Thank you very much for posting the link to this book!

Are you saying that it is somehow better to focus on clearing karma than trying to reach nirvana or that both must be reached?

Do you mean duality as in the the concept of yin and yang?
