The scientific debate about GW is over.

  1. Contrary to what many people think, the debate about the essential aspects of man-made global warming is over.......among scientists in the field of climate studies.

    ********************

"In the scientific field of climate studies – which is informed by many different disciplines – the consensus is demonstrated by the number of scientists who have stopped arguing about what is causing climate change – and that’s nearly all of them. A survey of all peer-reviewed abstracts on the subject 'global climate change' published between 1993 and 2003 shows that not a single paper rejected the consensus position that global warming is man caused. 75% of the papers agreed with the consensus position while 25% made no comment either way, focusing on methods or paleoclimate analysis (Oreskes 2004).

Several subsequent studies confirm that “...the debate on the authenticity of global warming and the role played by human activity is largely nonexistent among those who understand the nuances and scientific basis of long-term climate processes”. (Doran 2009). In other words, more than 95% of scientists working in the disciplines contributing to studies of our climate, accept that climate change is almost certainly being caused by human activities.

We should also consider official scientific bodies and what they think about climate change. There are no national or major scientific institutions anywhere in the world that dispute the theory of anthropogenic climate change. Not one."

In the field of climate science, the consensus is unequivocal: human activities are causing climate change.

  2. Just a testament to group think IMHO.

btw: If the climate is changing I suggest you adapt, it's the only rational thing to do.

besides who says warmer is a bad thing hmmm?

  3. Mitt Romney agrees...well he used to

  5. No, human activity is not "causing" climate change. We make a small contribution to it in the overall scheme of things. Yes, the climate is changing a little. Yawn! Yes, human activity makes a relatively insignificant contribution to that change. Yawn! Most importantly, without global participation, the insignificant global climate change contribution by humans will not change. Go see China, India and Russia about their significant contribution, then come talk to me about the already made huge cuts American devils you want to tax in to poverty. Until then, the spew from your political hacks posing as scientists fall on deaf ears.

  6. Cry yourself to sleep at night with that mantra eh?

  7. Perhaps your ears are deaf because there is nothing between them.

  8. Yeah this is one of the best examples of how shifty Mitt is. Really, can anyone believe anything he says? He knows that man-made GW is real, but he also knows that big money from the coal/oil interests and votes await only those republicans who deny it, so he "changed his mind".

  9. Eight

    Eight

and if somebody contradicted that conclusion they wouldn't be considered a scientist anymore!! They would be considered GW denier!

  10. From the 1500s to the 1950s not a single paper rejected the consensus that cigarettes are good for you.(and even then, it took another 20 years before people started to believe cigarettes were bad for you.)
