Depends on how you define "compelling reason". Ours is cheap oil.

I just gave it to you: cheap oil. Why else did we begin interfering in the ME?

  5. so you are saying the people of the middle east responding in the manner they do is justified? i really prefer to hear you say what you feel..not me.

so you say we went in the ME for oil and the arabs responded in kind, thus being justified in terrorism? am i misunderstanding you?

You asked "are you suggesting both sides have equal compelling reasons for this war?"

I replied "Depends on how you define "compelling reason". Ours is cheap oil."

You replied "i am asking your definition"

I replied, again, "I just gave it to you: cheap oil. Why else did we begin interfering in the ME?"

You then asked "so you are saying the people of the middle east responding in the manner they do is justified?" Which has nothing to do with your original question.

  7. i see why people have a hard time with you..but probably you do not. that means its fruitless to continue...

for the record i am asking you a direct question if both sides are justified and you replied with a rhetorical question back at me (the cheap oil part) all i asked was a simple question that you complicated.

these boards could be so much more if people did not swing dicks and instead actually replied like adults. carry on, but i will not reply unless you tell me how you feel exactly on the arab response.

  8. You are somehow attempting to equate an act that was prosecuted as a war crime and the talibans normal way of conducting itself.

Surely you can see the difference.

Your question had to do with "compelling reasons". If you're asking a different question with regard to justification, then no, neither side is justified. However, factoring in the tens of thousands of Near and Middle Easterners we have killed, including women and children, might lead to at least a little understanding, while the rampant xenophobia exhibited by so many, especially in the right wing, does not.

As for the complication, you complicated your own question by not asking what you meant in the first place.

You do realize the biggest victims of Islamic terrorism are other Muslims.

Islamic terrorists have killed over 50x the number of Muslims, including women and children, than were killed by western powers over the past decades.
