    Hello,

I follow this thread extensively. I usually enjoy all opinions.

I just wanted to say 2 things. So many of you guys take trades so personally. You lose all site of what the markets are for. They are there for you to make money. Try not to make it a personal issue. That is a sure fire way to get your money taken away.

I noticed that Rubberbird does not like Volente_00. Volente is a bull and bird is a bear. Now, I will bet that bird is not long the ES and he missed a huge up move. If his personal opinion of Volente got in his way of making a long trade. Then you can see how that cost him money. More than likely he was short which was costly today.

P.S. I went long today at 1294 in june ES and have a nice profit. I will give what the market allows and I will try not to fight it or hate it or explain it.

My stop is now at break even. I think there is a great possibility that we will see 1300 in the cash S&P soon.

    Good luck all.
    Steve

  6. ya think so? now there's a man to respect, going out on a limb.

    S&P closed 3/14/06 @ 1297.5

you know so much !! Then you should know that i'm not a "bear", since i've made huge returns for 10 straight years. My best years were 1996-2001.

    Rubberbird,

Do I detect sarcasm there? Why should I make wild predictions? You have made some outstanding predictions in the past. especially on the S&P not hitting 1300 in feb. Now, with the cash at 1297.48, I feel that my long position is safe for at least one more day. That is all the predictions I can make. If I happen to be wrong I will get stopped out nothing personal.

I did not say you where a perpetual bear. Your recent posts have indicated that you where bearish on the S&P. I am sure that oyu are very capable of changing your opinion. I jsut wanted to point out that the need to be right or wrong has no bearing on which way the market will go, which is an important lesson many people need to learn. I am sure that you already know that since you a super trader making huge sums of money for the last 10 years. However, some other people may need to hear that information.

    Regards,
    Steve

oh THAT'S why the markets exist, better tell all those suckers who lose cash about that, they just don't get it. I'm sure once they learn that market's are for making money and not losing it, they'll be on their way.

btw I LIKE the personal shit around here, it keeps me amused, so please get lost

Sperksy, would you like me if you were a short who said to short the S&P at 1180 and was dead wrong?

Bird was good for amusement and I liked jacking with him. He reminds me of some of the yahoo message board nutcases. But it is not about being right and wrong, it is about knowing when to admit you are wrong and to lose gracefully so that you can stick around to play the odds when you know you will be right again. I am neither bull or bear. My bias can change on any given day. But I can tell you a while back I fought the trend like bird on a 600 point move in the dow and now that I have been trading with the trend my trading has greatly improved. Quite frankly I could care less who bird is or what he does and that is why he is on ignore.

all who are trashing the bird, volente excluded, are a bunch of pansies. he has had balls to post real predictions and been right up until the past 2 days here. no trader is perfect and i'll side with bird anytime because he knows his stuff.
