"The S&P has topped" -- yes or no. That's all the original thread-opener stated. You could take inference from "Hell no you are smoking crack" to think maybe there's some humor about(?!?)..... But there is just no call for the amount of dick-swinging that this thread has garnered. Again. How about posting something that actually moves the conversation *forward*?? How about some news? An interpretation of lesser-cited numbers? A HOROSCOPE, ferchrisake. But to see, once again, y'all standing around debating who made the biggest, baddest, most-righteous-assed "call" -- AS IF IT MATTERED A WHIT........ -- is just head-shakingly sad. TRY MAKING SOME MONEY, INSTEAD. If you all actually *trade* once in a while, you just might. Sheeeesh.
Me too, this action isnt conducive of a sell off, lows getting bought every single day and it grinds higher with a lack of interest. Id love to see a parabolic move through 2400 but probablt just going to be chop now for the next couple months.
I finally sold Jun09 spreads, but wider than wished. Sold 2315 on one of our dips yesterday, and 2455 as we rose to close today. Roughly 60pts up, and 80pts down. (Huh! Better width than I thought.... now that I see it written down. 10:30pm and I'm still doing homework. MAN I am slow.) Too much risk, too little reward, but I'm got enough written to take the urgency-monkey off my back. At any event, I still think we're in stair-step mode, and that we're coiling up to pop north. That we're through most S&P500 earnings reports eases mkt pressure to buy, but as others have cited, too much "agenda" in the TRIN/volume/VIX..... and so many non-market stimuli. There *is* a big fat balloon out there, filled with earnings and "best house in the bad neighborhood" and impotent, impudent Trumpidian Turmoil on taxes and de-reg, and Whoosh! What's gonna happen when everyone remembers THE FED MEETING in 4 weeks? Yipes! "Well! There's a deflating prospect!"
The point is I was right about the first 80 point down move. Do you think I will get proven wrong finally after 2 1/2 months or will we remain topped under 2427 spx? Do you think I will be wrong about Spx touching 2180's before it trades higher than 2426 ?
