1. Draw a simple trend line on weekly data. That needs to get taken out with conviction. Has NOT happened yet. 2. According to GS, Corporate Treasurers have been buying these sell offs for huge size - the GS buyback desk estimates that the S&P 500 companies will buy back over $900B worth of shares in 2019. That is huge underlying support. 3. Of course the market will sell off at some point in future time in a sustained way - that’s what markets do.
It would be the shits (in the bad sense) if these bears, S2, B1, Vole, etc fail to take any profits. So far, crickets... 150+ point gains are evaporating, and so many big point swing opportunities lost as well. Trading: Where being right can be wrong.
I'm slightly on margin now...also have cash ready to roll into my accounts if neeed be but usually wont do that unless there are severe moves in the market of 20% or more. Aside from that my positions are small. Right. Now sitting on about 150 shares of SOXS, 50 shares of SSG and 50 shares of FNGD, those are just a few. I am long ETFs as well but mostly short over all. I have been trading GUSH and own over 2000 shares of that so over all that's keeping me very in the green today even while I hold my short etfs.
Nope. Long a few etfs here and there but staying more than 3/4 short. I have a retirement account long 3 mutual funds focusing on small caps, so that is my long term long bullish holdings that I add to a couple of times a month. Everything outside that is mostly short portfolios
Looks like the crash is here and everyone is too tired to even talk about the obvious. Quants are melting down again.
