China knows they have the upper hand but I believe they will just give in this weekend before the next set of tariffs come there way. I would be very surprised to see nothing at tomorrows meeting and another $300 billion worth of tariffs come though...that would be very wild but that's not going to happen.
As much as I believe they won't I think they will and just end the nonsense....would be nice for China to play continuously but I see this trade war settling sooner than later. Most believe US has more pull in this game but they are completely wrong!!
Xi was reportedly prepared to present termsof an agreement but that China wanted a deal with “balance, ” which the U.S. has no interest in. Major Wall Street banks generally have low expectations, seeing a cease-fire as the most likely outcome this weekend, a result that could cause a relief rally in these names.
Trump is one of the first US Presidents to understand that the US has the upper hand in negotiations with China (or with anyone else for that matter).
I am going to put this in the too hard pile and not take a position. I am not sure what's up with egos on this board. Seems like they love to tell people they are wrong so much more than make money.
Haha, and I'm literally not taking a position. Haven't all week aside from some MNQ dabbling. Gotta' wait until Sat/Sun, to see what Mr. Thumbs taps away with.
Oil just dropped out of no where.....seems like someone knows something about this G20 meeting that we may not know. "Oil prices fell just before the settlement on Friday ahead of talks over the trade dispute between the U.S. and Chinese presidents this weekend and on production cuts from OPEC on Monday."
