The rich are waging class warfare on the poor

  1. Seriously. All this animosity could be over TOMORROW if that happened. Last I checked, there's nothing holding the country together other than a piece of paper that says it's a single country.

The fact is, as you say, the few (very few) Leftists with brains know who really foots the bill for their idiotic schemes and how sustainable their utopia would be without that cash flow.

You actually did say that they were stealing from the poor.

I think what youre supposed to do is pay your "fair share" whatever in the world that means. Let me know when you find out.

Stunningly beautiful post. The only way to deal with them is right there. Allowing them to continue to spew their nonsense all over the place is why we are on the verge of losing our freedoms.

  5. There are only two choices. Those of us who are "haves" can share more than we'd like to share - more than we think is "fair" to share - with the have-nots willingly, or we can "share" it at the point of a gun.

    There are no other choices.

  6. Yes, but then how would the taxpayers support all of the administrative leaches living in Florida and collecting $15,000 per month pensions?

Looks like I touched a nerve. FYI, I believe in solvent government too.

If such a policy enables Warren Buffet to pay almost half percentage-wise in taxes as his secretary, I think that's pretty much a robbery right there.

I'm all for a flat national sales tax, and abolition of the income and corporate tax. I'm also for the negative income tax that Milton Friedman proposed.

If the government is to provide services to its citizens, why would you expect those who can least afford it, to pay the most for it?

You've been listening to too much Rush Limbaugh.

Your tax dollars pay for infrastructure, education, law enforcement, safety/environmental regulations, and a myriad of other things that benefit your life on a day-to-day basis. I think you probably get more than your dollar's worth. You might want to take a trip to Europe and see how much they pay in taxes. They'd probably laugh at you whining about how much you pay here. Stupid Americans...

You're right. Support universal healthcare coverage.

  10. That is nonsense what you are saying. Being poor is mainly a matter of bad luck, that's it. And being rich is mainly a matter of being lucky. Of course some poor got there entirely because of their own mistakes, and some rich people owe most of their success to hard work and smart . That's not the how the majority got where they are. Most people greatly underestimate the role of luck in life and the most disingenious people do it to serve an agenda such as the Republican's, which is cutting spending (a good thing) on the back of the poor (unacceptable). Are poor people tempted to take advantage of entitlements and handouts ? Of course they are , just as the rich (i.e. corporate shareholders) take advantage of society as a whole by influencing politics and the media.

Substance abuse and "laziness" come when you have lost hope of really improving your life , and why have you lost hope ? Because the odds are stacked against you when you were born poor. Just as when you were born rich , you have it made.

If you were born poor, your parents will not encourage you to get an education, consequently you will not know how important that is. And even if you do , you won't have access to it , especially in the US, where the majority of people are kept undereducated deliberately (so they can be sent to war for example)with ridiculous education costs.
