When do you figure that hangover is going to occur? Do you think the democrats will make a large comeback in 2010? If you don't believe that it will happen in 2010 then your prediction of a hangover is as worthless as saying it will rain at least once in the next 300 days.
The Bush bender went on for 6 years... So much can change so quickly with our electorate. People vote the economy, if the economy sucks in 2010, the republicans will gain. If the economy is stronger by November 2010, the dems will retain control. Same goes for 2012. After that, if things don't get better, they will throw out the repubs and start over... You act as if this is rocket science, it isn't... It is the economy...stupid. The masses have been blaming their leaders since the beginning, they will continue to do so, and we will continue to get the leadership we get...
LOL yeah we know youre not one of those Dem true believer morons - - - now how many of those almost 6,000 posts of yours are critical of the Dems ? (And how to you find the time to do all that typing anyway ? Do they pay you ?)
Rocket science? My point was that both parties will encounter dozens of hangovers over the next several decades so it's basically a worthless comment. Your right about the economy though. In the last 30 years presidential approval ratings have correlated with unemployment.
The majority of Independent voters in Virgina and New Jersey that voted for Obama in 2008, voted Republican in this years Governor races. That spells big trouble for Obama and the Democratic party. We can now sit back and watch the moderate conservative Democrats in congress run away from Obama as fast as they can. His liberal, socialist agenda is now toast!
With 87% of the vote counted, the 23rd congressional district in NY apparently has elected a Democrat over a teabagger/extreme Conservative. A Democrat has not held that seat for over a century. What's that again about the revolt against the Democrats and the President?
I see you failed to mention that the guy who won is a moderate conservative Democrat. Owens is more conservative that the tea bagger that ran against him. Oh, and btw, that tea bagger only announced his candidacy about 30 days ago, and will only lose by about 5000 votes, to a Democrat that had several months to campaign. I'm stunned that you failed to mention these facts. LOL!!!!!!!! The win by Owens doesn't change anything. The "BIG" news is the Republican winning by a "20" point margin over his Democratic opponent in Virgina, and the "HUGE" upset of a Republican defeating the incumbent Democrat in New Jersey. Even Obama couldn't save Corzine's ass. LOL!!!!!! What's really worth noting is that these two states were won overwhelming by Obama in 2008. Independent voters, who are without question, the biggest voter block in this country, and who are the difference makers in elections, have turned on Obama. They now see what a true radical socialist he is. Obama promised to govern from the middle, and is nothing but a far left disaster. Yes, the "REVOLT" has begun!!!! Yes "WE" can!!!!!!!!!! lol
