The reason why Christianity seems so unrealistic and naive

Discussion in 'Religion and Spirituality' started by walter4, Apr 29, 2010.

  1. Most religions teach to suspend material logic when trying to find God...

There is a difference between seeking God through faith, and ignoring the reality of the material world.

There are matters of faith, there are matters of this world, and those who deny the need for both to truly live a balance life walk like a corkscrew...

Every now and then you say something valid. If only you could continue in this vein and not go off the deep end.

Though, I would add that there's often a fine line between faith and trust making the two indistinguishable from each other in practice.

  6. If only you could learn to quote people directly, rather than misrepresenting their comments...to produce a falsehood...and then jagging off for several posts when asked to quote directly...

Be nice to know what was misquoted. Otherwise I'd have to quote every single post of yours... just to be sure.

    Efficient? Not.

  8. Quoting you and your false claim in this thread:

"Can we assume that since OP777 can't prove the assertion that totality is God that it is safe to assume that Totality is not god?"

    What do they say?

Put up (the direct quote) or shut up...

Just admit you were wrong, and that you went off half dicked, and then stew in your own puke...

So what exactly are you saying? What is wrong with what?

If you have a problem with it, reiterate your position and stop this cunty game already. That's how little girls roll. I son't think anyone here can see what is wrong with my assessment of your failure to prove totality is God.

You once again have an opportunity to submit a simple "no this is what I mean" or "this is what I said" and that will suffice. Because from my recollection, you were trying to associated totality with God. Your whole, "sum of the parts... the whole... totality... God ...blah blah" quasi-Taoism/Hinduism gibberish. If you're going to borrow from a religious thought, at least get the basics right before expanding on it to make it your own.
