The reason so many Americans still support Trump, perfectly encapsulated in one post

You wrote that you hope Trump keeps his (long list of) promises.

And he clearly going to hell of course. Trump's crossroads deal was to deliver tens of million of souls, but not his own I expect.

Hungarian Van Damme what a coincidence.

Right, and if he doesn't, I'll be right here with you pointing out how he reneged. You don't need to pray for my sake. I'll be just fine.

What does this even mean? I mean, I know it's in English, but what is it you are trying to say? Maybe Ricter can explain it?

Perfectly clear. Victor Orban's Hungary, hell, damn. It's an amusing, loose association. It is meant to be a little absurd.

You remind me of Mr Gradgrind in Dickens' novel Hard Times who took exception to wallpaper in a child's bedroom that had horses printed on it.

"‘You are not to have, in any object of use or ornament, what would be a contradiction in fact. You don't walk upon flowers in fact; you cannot be allowed to walk upon flowers in carpets. You don't find that foreign birds and butterflies come and perch upon your crockery; you cannot be permitted to paint foreign birds and butterflies upon your crockery. You never meet with quadrupeds going up and down walls; you must not have quadrupeds represented upon walls.’"

Sure, it's perfectly clear in your warped mind, where everything is a little absurd.

You remind me of my uncle. Dude had read lots of books, newspapers, and magazines. Spent most of his life reading and away from people, and as a result, was positively worthless in dealing with people, and everyone loathed him.

    I'm very popular actually.

The social issue I have, and this common with ADHD, is things I don't see don't continue in my mind. This troubles me sometimes. I am bad at maintaining friendships, too much time passes. People interpret it as indifference but it is not in any way intentional. Spending too much time absorbed in thought can sometimes create distance like you describe with your uncle.

My wife is very good at the whole keeping plates spinning socially. I'm genuinely gifted level ability in several areas and seriously slow in other ways.

I don't do well in this text medium, in person I'm great at reading people. If they are in front of me I'm very perceptive.
