The reason so many Americans still support Trump, perfectly encapsulated in one post

As an an-cap who thinks national politics are basically a farcical dramedy, I wouldn't exactly say I've ever quite "praised" Trump. It would go against my nature. Mostly I've said he appears to be the better of two bad options IMHO.

But, knowing that you are incredibly biased to the point of delusion, I can't expect you to be reasonable. Having this kind of bias, by definition, precludes you from being reasonable.

So... again, good luck managing your condition Tux. I'm cheering for you! You'll be OK!

Oops, that was three partial replies that got mixed up. I'm not sure what occurred there...

I wasn't talking about Trump, you don't interact with him.

Had I any reason to believe that you had ever shouldered serious responsibility, I'd have pause for concern that you think as you do.

Somebody just sent me some whiskey.. Because it is blended it does not have a specific aging but I find the prominent 2024 a little off-putting.

Another reason not to like Trump, a man who would turn into a slightly worse raging lunatic from a drop of this.

I shoulder the responsibility for myself and my own actions. What you want is people like me to shoulder responsibility for complete strangers who have never done so themselves. Your politics are those of a religious zealot but you don't understand people aren't converted by coercion. Good luck Tux!

If you believed in your own ideas you'd abandon all your material possessions, even your cardboard nightstand, and work w/ the missionaries of charity full time. Instead, you waste all your time as a hypocrite. Sad that you don't realize this and that you judge people for wanting to live self-directed lives.

I'm not a drinker but my neighbor has a very nice liquor cellar in his home. I recognize that bottle of Whiskey...that's expensive stuff.

Do you drink it or a collector of fine Irish Whiskey ???

Simply, do you plan to keep that 2024 bottle for many years or will you drink it soon ???

It was an 'un-birthday' present, I occasionally get the odd "Red Cross package" as it were from friends. I'm sure this will get opened at Christmas.

Back when I traveled a lot for business I did a bit of whiskey and wine collecting in duty free but when I moved to Panama and Colombia I've switched to rum. After I had Covid in January 2020 my tastes changed, sense of smell went for a bit but returned however I lost interest in whiskey but started to like salmon which I'd never enjoyed before. :)

    Congrats, what's your point?

Oh wait... I see where you're going. You're mother Theresa so every plumber, mechanic, store clerk, and "little people" in general should fork over the fruits of their labor whenever and in whatever quantity you dictate!

Sounds fair to me. That should work out well. Tux for Prez!

Same as before, if there was any substance to you then your views might raise an eyebrow.

But I'm just a goody-goody who hasn't even been banned from running a charity for self-dealing even.
