  1. Will the Presidents economic goals be met??

This is a good time for the President to achieve all goals. 7 14.29%
His goals are far too ambitious. 6 12.24%
These economic goals are a joke. 29 59.18%
He wont be able to accomplish them all. 7 14.29%

42 out of the total 49 people polled in the economics forum have a negative opinion of Obama's economic policies.

If Obama does not cut taxes and enact fiscal conservative policies the economy will suffer more than it needs too.

It's way too late for that. As a country, we've clearly stated that the only thing better than more government is lots more government. The fling the republicans had with smaller government was almost as concrete as telling your friend that your girlfriend's friend has a "great personality" as you try to sell him on a blind date.

Bush 43 was the solid evidence that small government is not what we desire. Sure, we'll say we'd like a smaller bill. But when people start talking about not growing any particular program, voters get really mad. Not cutting, mind you. Not reducing the budget. Just not increasing it by a lot. The government is spending so much #@^% money that when they talk about 20 billion to BAC or 15 billion to GM it sounds like chump change. Billions of dollars to "private" enterprise.

Despite Bush spending money as fast as he could, the republicans still couldn't get elected, and we have somebody who'll spend even more even faster. Yay. At least we're on this side of this bubble - it'll suck to be the next few generations on the other side.

Most of the planet thinks socialism is a swell idea. Used to be that at least in this country you could be free. But we're throwing all that away so the wonderful government can save us all.

I agree, it's game over, liberty has lost. It's peculiar too how the words from Obama himslef are basically that this won't work. He talks about more pain and tough times.
