The real tragedy ... education

  1. I understand where he is coming from, and we all entertain similar thoughts if we were in the same situation but we also can rationalize and think independently to still look at each person as an individual and not judge them for what a similar person has done. It is one thing to develop a bias which we all get stuck with, it is quite another to nail it down in bold writing and claim it as FACT.

  2. Nice job with the moral equivalency Cutten. Behavioral aspects of race are in essance what this discussion is about.

You've never been to America so perhaps you think race is all about color. It isn't. It's about culture and mores. If white people committed crime with the same prepensity as blacks then I'd be fearful of more whites. And if Black guys rarely caused trouble then I'd hang with more blacks. Hell there's plenty of white people I can't stand either.

  3. There's no such thing, that's the whole point of this discussion.

If you are trying to say that American blacks act in a consistent way which defines the whole group I'm going to have to start agreeting with Mike here ...

I'm offically losing the faith here Pabst, please tell me you forgot the smiley face and you're just joking ...

    OK, I get it.

You're just going to be who you're going to be.

  5. Nutmeg,

Just when I was beginning to think you were a force of reason and intelligence you say some moronic thing as such?

Your statement probably examplifies how a large majority of whites view blacks. That we do not possess the necessary skill sets to participate in such a complex environment of mediation, leadership and negotiations. Oh well?

  6. Pabst,

you are a joke if I have ever seen one( or listened to across the Net). You really are going to sit here and attempt to make anyone believe that with the extremely narrow views that you possess that you could be objective about anything in regards to someone who is non white? Please, spare me!

Your statements and views on this site are akin to that of the local Grand Wizard of your local Klans meeting that you attend.

  7. Well, it is like this. Opioncoach made a deragotory comment towards me, now I have followed this guy longer than I've been on this board, so I was surprised he had nothing to add. mandel, I do now believe has an IQ of 140 as he has said, together validated the points in my post with their comments.

Now you come along and ask for clarification. Glad to meet you. For the moment, I am waiting for Pabst reply to mandel. I may get back to you later.

  8. Not sure what I could have added to your comment. It actually did not make sense. My low IQ comment was not as derogatory as what you implied in your post. Sorry if it ruffled feathers. Perhaps there was a deeper meaning that was lost on me but I went and re read it again a few times and not sure what you were trying to say except that you only hire minorities if you have strong supervision?

I will go back to lurking here since these kind of discussions never go well anyway as can be seen in the last few pages lol.

  9. You guys need to read Freakonomics. They back up what they see with data/studies and the like instead of just idle speculation...

  10. It's pretty amazing what happens to otherwise reasonable men when discussing race, religion and politics ... hell, we might as well add sex into the pot as well.

It's just remarkable how easy it is to for someone to have wrong minded views about things, and take for granted that they know what they are talking about, when the truth is they haven't got a clue.
